Titanium

Titanium is not just for golf clubs and hip replacements anymore! Light as aluminum with the strenght of steel, this metal is non-corrosive and, making it hypo-allergenic and safe for virtually any application, even to the point of medical implants and surgical tools. A material that holds refractive properties which allow for extraordinary color options through proper manipulation. This material is titanium, a natural element that possesses these amazing traits and more. There is an extreme diversity of available titanium alloys. In most cases hardness is governed by oxygen content, though numerous alloy combinations are available. Due to titanium's light weight, most jewelry made in this material, including rings, and continuous, closed jewelry products are thicker than their counterparts in gold and platinum.

Titanium can be cleaned with any non abrasive soap or cleaner. Anodized products are best cleaned with warm soapy water the dried with a soft tissue. This will restore it to the same level of optical purity and display the original vivacity of colors. In normal wear non-anodized titanium will only show superficial scratches. These products may be refinished in a number of ways. The most popular finishes are bright or satin. Both may be executed in much the same manner as conventional materials. The differences between finishing titanium and other materials will be length of time and the use of more aggressive polishing and finishing medias.
